ACE SuperC18:  a uniquely bonded, EBT™ end-capped C18 phase with broad pH range utility

What is EBT (Encapsulated Bonding Technology)?

What makes the ACE SuperC18 so super?

Which applications can I use it for?

Why does it complement the ACE C18-AR and C18-PFP bonded phases?

How could utilizing the ACE Excel SuperC18 phase enhance my current (U)HPLC and (U)HPLC/MS workflow?

MAC-MOD is excited to present our newest video, which discusses ACE SuperC18 and provides real customer examples that demonstrate how you can use it for your method development work and everyday analyses. We will attempt to answer some of the questions above, which some customers have asked us.

The ACE SuperC18 bonded phase is available on solid-core and totally porous particles for HPLC and UHPLC modes. Our current Moderate Polarity Power of 3 offer, which highlights the ACE Excel and ACE UltraCore columns, is also described.

This customer-provided example represents an optimized gradient LC-MS separation at pH 9.35 using a 2.1 x 100 mm, 2 um ACE Excel SuperC18 column for a mixture of anti-obesity drugs analyzed as part of an supplement adulterant study.  A 20-minute gradient from 10 to 90% ACN/water with ammonium hydroxide at 0.5 mL/min was used to effect this separation of these basic analytes. Earlier work using C18 and phenyl phases at low pH (3-5) had not been able to resolve all of these 15 basic analytes.
